Who issues the bond

Deposit release bonds are issued and underwritten by specialist insurers. We arrange cover on your behalf. We do not issue, underwrite or guarantee bonds ourselves, and we are not responsible for an insurer's decision to offer or decline cover or to pay a claim.

Before you commit we will tell you which insurer will issue your bond and, where it has one, its financial strength rating. Some specialist insurers are not rated, and we will tell you if that applies.

How we are paid

We are usually paid a commission by the insurer out of the premium, and we may also charge a fee agreed with you in advance. Our terms of business set out how we are paid, and we confirm the position in writing before you commit.

If you are unhappy with our service, please tell us first at hello@depositreleasebonds.com and we will deal with it promptly and fairly. If you are not satisfied with our response you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, depending on your eligibility.
