Most residential schemes sold off-plan can be considered
If purchasers are paying deposits on homes that are not yet built, a deposit release bond may help. The type of scheme matters less than the developer behind it.
New-build houses
Estates and small housing schemes where plots are sold off-plan as the build progresses.
Apartment schemes
Blocks where most of the sales exchange well before practical completion, so deposits build up early.
Mixed-use
Schemes with a residential element sold off-plan. The bond relates to the residential purchaser deposits.
Conversions and refurbishment
Office, commercial and other conversions to residential, considered case by case.
Single high-value homes
A single house sold off-plan with a substantial deposit, where there is no minimum scheme size to worry about.
Larger and phased schemes
Multi-phase developments, with cover arranged to follow the sales and build programme.
Where
England, Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland, plus the Channel Islands. If your scheme is elsewhere, ask - we will tell you straight away whether we can help.
What matters more than the type
- The developer's financial strength and net assets
- Planning in place, or close to it
- New-home warranty or structural cover from a reputable provider
- Off-plan sales with deposits taken or expected
- The security available
